Junior Assistant Volunteer (JAV) is a volunteer position responsible for assisting the coaching staff with practice and meet day functions of the swim team. The goal of the JAV program is to ensure more individualized attention to every Splash swimmer, as well as develop leadership skills for JAV participants. JAVs will report directly to the Swim Coaches as well as the JAV Coaching Coordinator. Our main source of communication will be through the SportsYou app. All JAVs (or parent) will be required to join the app. 

Please note, due to the overwhelming interest in our JAV program, Tiger Splash may implement a limit to the number of JAVs for the team.

Swimmer evaluations will be held for all swimmers aged 10 & under that are new to Tiger Splash. Signup required via SignUp Genius. Please do not signup until you have completed registration.

Session 1 (5:30pm - 6:30pm) 

Session 2 (6:15pm - 7:30pm)

Session 3 (7:15pm - 8:30pm) 

*Practices are held Monday through Thursday every week (except for Memorial Day). There are no minimum attendance requirements. Swimmers will check-in with a JAV or board member upon entering the pool deck. Swimmers will be allowed on deck approximately 5 minutes prior to session start time. No parents are allowed on deck during practice.

*Swimmers will need goggles and a towel. Swim caps are not required at practices or swim meets. Occasionally, the coaches will have swimmers use swim fins during practice, so it's a good idea to purchase these if you don't already have some. We do have a limited number of fins to borrow during practices also.

Team photo and individual photos will be taken during the party. Photos must be ordered during the party. Online link to order photos will be posted when available.
