COLOR SPLASH ANNOUNCEMENT

Get ready for an exciting weekend - it's Team Marvel (Red) vs Team DC (Blue)!

Team DC Coaches: Nolan & Alexa

Team Marvel Coaches: Jordan & Zach

We are working carefully to divide swimmers as evenly as possible to ensure a fun and competitive meet. Team rosters will be announced Thursday evening.

Important Reminders

  • No body paint is allowed on Saturday.
  • Any items brought on deck must be approved by a Board Member.
  • We will provide beads, bracelets, temporary tattoos, and clappers for team spirit.
  • We encourage friendly, positive competition.
  • Before the National Anthem, swimmers will participate in a team parade on deck. Warm-ups will begin at 7:00 AM to allow time for the parade.

BOARD NOMINATIONS

We are seeking nominees for three open board positions this year.

If you are interested in serving, please reply to this email with your name and interest.

FAQ: What is the time commitment?

  • August–December: One board meeting per month (1.5–2 hours). Dinner provided. Meetings continue monthly through May.
  • January–February: Preparation for registration and the upcoming season. Responsibilities are shared—no one carries too much alone. This includes negotiating the city contract and gathering sponsorships.
  • March–April: Season prep, JAV training, new swimmer evaluations, and Founders Day Parade. Evaluations typically span two evenings (2 hours each), divided among board members.
  • May: Season begins. At least one board member attends each practice session—usually the session your swimmer attends.
  • June–July: Continued practice coverage and swim meets. We understand not everyone can attend every meet, which is why volunteers are essential.
