Meet signup is now open for the Time Trials swim meet. If you’re new to Tiger Splash, we encourage you to take a few minutes to read the information below and let us know whether your swimmer plans to compete. Registration will automatically close on Thursday, 5/21, at 9:00 pm.
SWIM MEET REGISTRATION
Our annual Time Trials Swim Meet will take place on Saturday, May 23rd, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. We encourage all swimmers to let us know whether they will or will not be attending. For new families, this is a wonderful opportunity for your swimmer to get a feel for what a swim meet is all about. Because this is a smaller meet with no relays, it’s a great introduction and a chance for swimmers to record times for seeding in future meets.
We completely understand that new swimmers may feel a little nervous about participating in a meet so early in the season. But truly, seeing is believing, and we’re confident your swimmer will enjoy the fun, supportive Tiger Splash swim meet atmosphere (and halftime dancing). With fewer events and no relays, the meet moves at a comfortable pace and can feel much less overwhelming for first-time swimmers. Even if your swimmer doesn’t feel fully ready, we encourage you to consider signing up for a freestyle event or two so they can gain experience and enjoy being part of the fun.
Registration will close Thursday evening (5/21). If you have any questions, board members will be available at practice next week and are always happy to help. Most importantly, we ask that ALL FAMILIES access the link, even if your swimmer will miss the first meet, so you can indicate whether they will attend. A few instructions are listed below to help guide you through the registration process.
1.Access Registration – If the link above is not working, simply login to SwimTopia and click on the Schedule Tab. Scroll to the May 23 Time Trials Meet and click the green “Meet Entry” button.
2.Swim Meet Status-
Edit the swim meet status for each swimmer in your family (select Attending or
Not Attending).
3.Select Events-
Swimmers 10 & under may select up to 3 events. Swimmers 11 & up may select
up to 4 events. (Note: 6 & Under swimmers are encouraged to
complete the freestyle and kickboard races unless experienced in other strokes)
4.Sign-Up for Volunteer Position- Click on the green “Sign Up for Job Shifts” button and choose a volunteer position. Our swim meets run smoothly thanks to the support of our amazing volunteer families. Most positions take place on the day of the event and are divided into 1st-half and 2nd-half timeslots. A few positions are scheduled for the Monday or Tuesday following the meet (ribbons and beads). Please remember that families will need a minimum of 5 volunteer points to register during the early wave of the 2027 swim season.
IMPORTANT: Parents will be allowed on the west pool deck during the meet; tents and chairs will not be allowed on deck and can be setup outside the perimeter of the pool fence.
The heat/psych sheets along with other helpful meet details will be emailed out on the Friday prior to the upcoming meet.
SCRATCHES: If you have any last-minute conflicts or your swimmer will not be able to attend the meet once sign-up is closed, please let us know as soon as you can. Please email us at [email protected]
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all. We’re so excited for the season ahead and can’t wait to see all of our swimmers at their first meet of the year!
